Standard pre-consultation letters to service providers

 

 

2.1

The two standard letters were endorsed.  It was decided that, rather than bring each letter to full Council for approval, the Chairman and the Clerk should proceed with letters and consultation meeting arrangements as appropriate and report to Council on the outcomes.

A public meeting should be called once the initial consultations have been completed, so that there is something positive to encourage participation by the wider community.

Starting the Consultation Process

 

 

3.1

The Chairman will draft letters for the Clerk to send to Community First and HALC, to keep them informed of the process.

Potential Questions for a Parish Questionnaire

 

 

4.1

Proposed new questions and a weeding of those already proposed led to revision notes for use in conducting the consultation process.  The Chairman undertook to produce an updated list of questions for attachment to these minutes.

Outcome of “Toolkits for Councillors” Training Course

 

 

5.1

Council noted the Chairman’s report (dated 4 February 2002) on this course but decided not to follow-up the alleged availability of interim grant aid.

Outcome of “Parish Plans” Training Course

 

 

6.1

Cllr Jean Foley reported on this course, emphasising the importance of engaging public support and involvement at the earliest possible juncture (Item 2.2 above).
